Part 1: STT X EMIRATES STAKES DAY 2015
Emirates Stakes Day - it's the final day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival and with a relaxed, family friendly vibe, my absolute favourite of the four meets.
This year 313,229 interstate and international visitors flocked to Flemington to enjoy the racing, fashion, entertainment and hospitality of the world's most vibrant racing event.
On a cool and windy Saturday, a strong crowd of 68,711 witnessed Turn Me Loose take out the $1m Emirates Stakes with front running ride from Kerrin McEvoy.
We spent the morning part of our day in the Birdcage enclosure, drifting between the Schweppes and Lavazza Marquees (lemonades for the boys, latte's for mum) before heading across to the Fashions on the Field enclosure.
Joined by our friends (and fellow Children's blogger) Sandi of kidsfashionblogger.com.au, her husband Senard and darling daughters Bella and Giselle, it was an enjoyable day had by all!
Here are a few of our favourite Emirates Stakes snaps captured by Melbourne photographer Liane Hurtvitz. I've also shared our spring racing outfit details below and provided links (where possible) to shop our style, which may come in handy now that the wedding/party season is upon us!
