Join Me and BP in Fueling McGrath Breast Care Nurses this weekend!
“Breast cancer doesn’t care how old you are, where you live, whether you’re a career woman or a mother. Breast cancer is a disease that currently affects one in eight Australian women of all ages and backgrounds. Please help the McGrath Foundation support Australian women. Together, we can make a difference” - Jane McGrath
Jane McGrath’s legacy has always remained a driving force behind my ongoing involvement in Breast Cancer awareness, prevention and fundraising campaigns. I was pregnant with my first child (Tevita) when Jane lost her life to a secondary illness after a long, brave battle with breast cancer. Although I didn’t know Jane personally, I was deeply moved by her strength and tireless activist work before her passing. She often spoke of the wonderful Breast Care Nurses who provided her young family with invaluable physical, psychological and emotional support throughout her treatment.
October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Australia and I’d love your help to make a real difference to the lives of breast cancer patients and their families.
It was Jane’s vision for every family experiencing breast cancer to have access to the support of a Breast Care Nurse, no matter where they live or financial situation.
Here’s how you can help (it’s super easy!)
Simply refuel at any BP service station before October 9th
BP, a loyal partner of the McGrath Foundation since 2013, is donating a portion of all fuel sales until October 9th to fund a vital McGrath Breast Care Nurse.
To date BP have raised over $1 million for the McGrath Foundation, proving it really is providing Australia’s Most Powerful Fuel!
There are currently 110 Breast Care Nurses working in metro, regional and rural communities Australia-wide, but we need your help at the petrol bowser to reach more women in need!
Make the conscious decision to refuel with BP, because together, we can make a difference.
